THE MEGALODON
The name Megalodon means "big tooth" as the only remains we have of this massive beast is it's big teeth. The reason for this is that shark's bones, except for their teeth, are made of something called cartilage which doesn't survive after you die. The Megalodon lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago, it is thought to be the biggest fish that ever lived, coming to a maximum length of about 25 metres or 82 feet long and a maximum wight of about 60 tons. That's 3 Great Whites long and 8 and a half african elephants in weight. It fed on large fish, whales and likely other sharks. This creature probably went extinct due to climate change and a lack of food. This is a fish. You really want that pet fish now?

THE MAGNIFICENT ARGENTINE BIRD
TheArgentavis magnificens, sometimes called the Giant Teratorn, had a wingspan of 7.5m and feathers as long as Samurai swords. It lived approximately 6 million years ago, feeding on capybara, rodent-like mammals, armadillos and possums. This bird was often called The Thunderbird due to its resemblance with a bird in ancient mythology, a bird with supernatural powers. It had black or blue feathers on it’s body with a build like a vulture. Unlike vultures it didn’t have any bald spots. (According to my research) You still want that pet bird now?
